Fall Regulatory Agenda Pegs Final SEC Exec Comp Rules for Fall 2016
November 20, 2015
This week, the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs released the biannual regulatory agenda which displays the regulatory priorities for the agencies of the federal government. For the SEC, the remaining executive compensation rules, including final rules on the pay for performance disclosure, clawbacks listing standard, hedging disclosure, as well as the long awaited final rules on fund voting records are all projected by October 2016. The projected timeline is, as always, non-binding on the SEC which currently is short one Republican Commissioner with Senior Democrat Commissioner Luis Aguilar set to set down by the end of the year. However, the schedule indicates that as of now, the Commission intends to finish pending rules next year.
